The Department of Revenue will cover the basics of tax compliance ranging from registering your business to withholding from employees, and sales and use tax requirements. I’ve heard from more than one person that their initial reaction the first time they open a spreadsheet program is one of bewilderment. As one person said, “There were just these little boxes on the screen, and I couldn’t get it (the program) to do anything”.

To be fair, there are plenty of buttons, toolbars, and menus on a spreadsheet screen along with those little boxes, but even these may not be much help if you don’t know what a spreadsheet is capable of doing and how it is supposed to work.
