Basic Skills Course Schedule

Basic Skills Classes are offered at a variety of different times and locations throughout Pitt County in order to meet the needs of our students. Due to the nature of the Basic Skills program, a student must qualify to be placed into any of the classes below. Students MUST attend a Basic Skills Orientation before enrollment is allowed. Adult Basic Education Classes(ABE)

These classes are for individuals who fall below AHS/GED levels on their placement tests.

Adult High School (AHS)

These classes are for individuals who place at the AHS/GED level on their placement tests and who want to complete their high school diploma. These classes are offered at various times but are only offered on campus. Please contact Belinda Grubbs(AHS Coordinator) for further information: (252)493-7560

General Educational Development (GED)

These classes are for individuals who place at the AHS/GED level on their placement tests who want to obtain a high school equivalency diploma.  These classes are offered at various times and locations throughout Pitt County.

Compensatory Education

This program is for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities or for those who have suffered traumatic brain injury. Individuals will build academic skills with an emphasis on independent and community living.
