weekend college big weekend college small

Weekend College is a new initiative at Pitt Community College. The intent is to provide an array of courses and programs that provide an alternative for people who work or have other commitments and who are unable to attend academic courses that are offered at traditional times during the week.

This format is a means by which these students may earn an associate degree, update or gain skills needed for professional advancement, prepare for career change, or pursue personal interests. Weekend College offers working adults an opportunity to study with people who have similar interests and lifestyles and who are equally motivated to pursue their education.

Scheduling Flexibility

Students are now able to obtain and complete certifications and degrees on the weekend. Scheduling may be done through programs available at non-traditional hours and in flexible learning formats. The Weekend College curriculum provides individuals with a variety of courses and programs in flexible learning formats that meet the needs of the growing student population.
