A myPittCC login is required in order to access these databases from off-campus.
How do I find books that are available on the Internet?
Here are some options:
Yes! If PCC Library does not have the book that you need, you can search the catalogs of other local libraries, or request the book through our interlibrary loan service. A librarian will be happy to help you with this process.
Search local libraries:
Request books from other community college libraries using the library catalog.
If you cannot find the materials you need from a CCLINC library, try searching the WorldCat database listed below.
Use WorldCat to search for books in many types of libraries.
NOTE: Choose "Stay on worldcat.org" if given the option to choose.
Items found in WorldCat can be requested by using the online interlibrary loan request form. Keep in mind that each individual library has its own lending policies. There may be restrictions on lending certain items. The Library will notify you if this is the case.
How do I get the books from other libraries?
Once you complete the form, and if the books are available, they will be delivered by mail to PCC Library. You will be notified when the item arrives. Allow at least 5-10 business days for delivery.
